FitEars story started in 1958 with the founding of Suyama Dental Laboratory.

  • Suyama Dental Labatory expertise in dental technology allowed it to expand into a number of industries. In 1985, Philips Japan requested Suyama Dental Labs to produce an in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid. Dentures and hearing aids share a number of similar manufacturing processes. Both products are customer-made, and tailored for the exclusive use of a single individual. Familiarity with temporormandibular joint motion, among other technical and dental know-how, was key to Suyama Dental Labs success in creating hearing aids.
  • In 2002, President and Director, Keita Suyama, constructed his first earphone. He built it as part of a hobby project to help him better enjoy his music. He also used it whilst playing the drums. Here the expertise he gained from his long history with dental technologies was put into good use. One by one, acoustic engineers took interest. It was no€™t long before Keita Suyama€™s pet project became a market – and production – reality. The FitEar custom earphone was born.
  • With the cooperation of prominent mastering engineer, Mitsuharu Harada, FitEar became a force among professionals in the music industry. Today, many musicians, sound engineers, and other broadcast professionals rely on FitEar products for stage performance, recording, and more.
  • FitEar takes the feedback and encouragement it receives from music and broadcast professionals to heart. Today, that feedback is being used to constantly improve the technologies behind its products.
